Princess Canda must go to Miss Azalea Hardheart’s Academy for Wayward Ladies and Lordlings, where the punishments are cruel and unusual… to say nothing of humiliating! Will she submit to the harsh regime or try to rebel at every step?
I am writing this in Twine, rather than Quest. Quest is great for adventure games, but over-powered for CYOA games. In that area, Twine excels.
It is a lot faster to make CYOA games; I am currently at over 6000 words in 78 passages. I am a little concerned that the game is rather linear; you can take little branches off the main story line, but you will come back to it. The reason for that is the Princess canda does not get much control over her life whilst at the academy…
Edit (13/Jun/16): One week later, and this is pretty much done. After having several games not released after perhaps two years, it is quite bizarre that this will be completed with perhaps two weeks.
It is just over 20,000 words (Twine has a built-in stats facility) and 224 passages. It has been spell-checked in MS Word, and each passage read through. There are a couple of issue outstanding, but should be easy to do.
